I am a research professional with experiece in the areas of materials chemistry, X-ray spectroscopy and imaging. Check out my Recent research.

I got my bachelors in Chemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University. After my masters degree in Chemistry, I joined University of Connecticut for PhD. Currently I work at the National Synchrotron Light Source - II at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, New York. My recent research interests are X-ray spectromicroscopy and machine learning assisted data analaysis.

Current Research Interests

Nano-XANES

X-ray absorption spectroscopy at nanoscale resolutions (>30nm) for chemical state and oxidation state imaging in chemically heterogenous matrices. Nano-XANES technique developed at the hard X-ray Nanoprobe (HXN) beamline in NSLS-II found applications in battery science, envrironmental research, and materials chemistry. Nano-XANES provide high detection sensitivity and chemical state specificity offer chemical speciation in native environments with minimal sample preparation. See the recent paper here Nano-XANES Paper

ML-assisted Spectromicroscopy

An interactive,user-friendly software (called NSLS-II MIDAS) for spectromicroscopy analysis is designed in python+PyQt5 platform. The program uses machine learning libraries for supervised and non-supervised learning of spetro-microscopy data.
